BUFFET BC6010-2-OCC STUDENT FLUTE

The Buffet Crampon Flute has a long and impressive lineage
which can be traced right back to Theobald Boehm, the most
influential figure in the development of the modern
concert flute, and whose experiments with acoustical
design led to his work with Rudall, Rose, and Carte.
Working at Rudall, Rose, and Carte was Albert Cooper who
reworked Boehm's original calculations to the new tuning
standard of A=440Hz (commonly known as the Cooper Scale),
soon adopted as the international standard.
Buffet Crampon continues to experiment with flute design
and the 6000 series of flutes is the result of such
research. Investment in machinery employing the latest
computerized technology has produced a flute which is both
lighter and stronger, making it an ideal instrument for
children and beginners. The new "one-piece" key cups and
arms are produced from nickel silver extrusion, yet still
maintain the traditional appearance associated with the
flute. The keywork has been lowered and is more compact,
giving an action comparable to hand built instruments. The
responsive popular Cooper designed head has received only
cosmetic changes to bring it in line with the 21st Century
look of the new Buffet Crampon flutes.
